Our Stewardship Recycling Drive to benefit Emmaus House was a huge success. We recycled 462 pounds of clothing and 120 pounds of miscellaneous shoes, belts, handbags, etc. That's 582 POUNDS of junk that will not go to a landfill. The icing on the cake is that the recycling company will pay us roughly $35.10, which will be donated to Emmaus House.
Thanks to all who participated in this worthwhile recycling effort - those who brought items to be recycled and particularly the Larson, Veloff and Albers families who provided the truck, coordinated the collection, and hauled everything to the recycling center. We will repeat this event - so please save your recyclable cloth, clothing, leather items, shoes, etc. until the next collection.
