Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, Earlier this week I shared with colleagues the design for the churchwide organization that was approved by the ELCA Church Council on October 8, 2010. I want to keep you informed of this process. Please click on the links below to access the design proposal and organizational charts. The design will enable the churchwide organization to continue to be engaged in God's mission, but be more adaptable, focused and financially sustainable. The churchwide organization will continue to work collaboratively with congregations, synods, agencies and institutions and other partners as we give priority to: 1. accompanying congregations as growing centers for evangelical mission; and 2. building the capacity of this church for evangelical mission and service in the world to alleviate poverty and work for justice and peace. We are committed to interdependent relationships and we ask for your ongoing support. As we bid Godspeed to colleagues who have served this church so well, we have begun the transition in a spirit of hopeful anticipation. Thank you for your prayers and your ministries. I pray for you as throughout this church we proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and serve our neighbor. In God's grace,
