Obama Announces Intention to Appoint ELCA Presiding Bishop to Council

CHICAGO (ELCA) -- President Barack Obama announced Feb. 4 his
intention to appoint the Rev. Mark S. Hanson, presiding bishop of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), to the President's
Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
