Notice of Congregational Meeting
We will have a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 20, 2012 immediately following worship to approve our delegates to the 2012 Synod Assembly. All voting members are asked to attend. Nominated are Noah Turner and Linda Collins.

Our utmost thanks to all members of the Bell Choir for their dedication and sharing of their talent this past year. Members include (from high to low): Mary Dallmann, Jan Mueller, Trish Winchell, Susan Pingel, Jeanne Yegge, Nancy Hofheinz, Grace Steinke, Sue Davis, Eunice Halverson, Sabrina Kalleberg, Chris Pingel and Marian Bleeke. Our very helpful subs this year have been Jane Davis, Florence Riter, Stephanie DeChambeau, Deanna Simanowitz and Paul Davis. Your music has been beautiful , thus we look forward to your return in the fall.
May Service Project
St. Marks has been asked to provide 50 personal care bags for St. Philip Lutheran (Immanuel Lutheran closed and merged into St. Philip) by May 20th. They hand out these bags once a month and have a shortage for May. The bags contain a toothbrush, toothpaste, face cloth, soap, deodorant, razor, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shaving cream. WELCA and the Service Committee have agreed to take on the project. Please bring sample sizes of these items to church today and next Sunday, the 13th. Any leftover items will be used for our next personal care bag project benefiting Gateway Homeless later this year. Thank you!

May Sociables - Saturday, May 19
The Sociables will be going to Emmaus House in Washington, MO. for a service project. Please meet at church at 8:30 am for a light breakfast, we will leave the church parking lot at 9:00 am and carpool. Our efforts will be setting up for their annual fund raiser. At 2:30 pm we will stop at the local winery for lunch. Please contact Andy Ford at 314-308-2004 if you plan on attending.
Sunday, June 3 – Church Picnic in Shaw Park
It's that time of year again, our Annual Church Picnic. June 3, 2012 at the South Pavilion at Shaw Park in Clayton. It is the same pavilion as it has been for the past several years. Fellowship will provide, meat and drinks. Please bring a dish to share and your family's eating utensil's, plates and cups. There will be games for the kids, hopefully a wuffle ball game, cake walk (if you would like to bring a cake for the event that would be great) and just a great time to enjoy the day together. Church service starts at 10:15 and the picnic will follow. If you have any questions please see me or anyone on the committee. Thanks and see you there,
