Fun and Fundraiser to get homeless women and children in a home within 30 days!
Please join the St. Marks Team participating in Gateway180's Reverse Walk to Reverse Homelessness at Busch Stadium on September 8, 2012. Each participant who gives or raises a minimum donation of $50 gets a ticket to the Milwaukee Brewers - St. Louis Cardinals game valued at $37.50-42.00, a T-shirt valued at $10, and the opportunity to walk (some will walk backwards - it's a reverse walk, afterall) on the warning track surrounding the field prior to the game. What a deal! Plus, this is a great way to support Gateway180 and their mission to get homeless women and children into housing in 30 days or less.
Our Team is named "St. Marks ELCA". There are two ways to join the team - 1) online or 2) by obtaining a form from Ruth Sorrell, Barb Brannan, or Pastor Linda. If you choose to join online, go to this website: https://gateway180.myetap.org/fundraiser/ReverseWalk2012/. Then follow these instructions:
- Click "find a team" on the left hand column
- Click "show all teams"
- Select "St. Marks ELCA" - note there are several pages of teams and they are not alphabetical. We are on page 2.
- Click "join our team"
- Enter your personal information
- Set your personal fundraising goal ($50 minimum per person)
- You'll get a confirmation email which will then allow you to login to "my user" and send out emails inviting people to make a donation to help get to your fundraising goal. If you are uncomfortable with this, you can just donate the $50 yourself and be done.
Alternatively, if you don't wish to attend the game or walk on the field, you can sponsor any of the St. Marks team-members by going clicking on the above link and then click "Sponsor Our Team". Or you may give a check to Ruth Sorrell or Barb Brannan.
Gateway180 hopes that each team will have 10 participants and raise a total of $500 - but I know we can do better than that. I set our goal at 15 walkers and $750.
