Blessings of Backpacks for Preschool-College!
On Sunday, August 12th bring your backpacks and all of your school-bound children and young adults to worship for a blessing prayer.
August Sociables to Terre Du Lac, Saturday, August 18, 2011
The August Sociables, on Saturday, August 18, will be boating, tubing, swimming, fishing and fellowship at the Sorrell's lake house in Terre du Lac (about 60 miles south of St. Louis). Maps will be available in the back of the sanctuary. The address is 10329 Rosemary, Terre du Lac, Missouri. It is best to follow the directions on the map provided as many subdivision roads are not paved and in poor condition, but GPS systems use them anyway.
It's an all day event - 11:00 until whenever. The Sorrell's will provide pulled pork and chicken and sandwiches, soda, juiceboxes and water. Please bring a side dish or dessert, swimsuits, sunblock, floaties, towels, and lawn chairs. The Summer Book Group invites you to tease up your bouffant, straighten up that skinny tie, break out the hair gel and hair spray and join us for a 1960’s southern style DINNER and MOVIE night. In celebration and reflection on
what we have discovered in our summer book “The HELP”, we are having a pot luck dinner followed by a showing of the movie!

Dinner at 5pm followed by “The Help” at 6pm
