October Sociables -- Enjoy the Outdoors!

The Sociables will enjoy an outing to the Wild Bird Sanctuary and Lone Elk Park on Saturday, October 20.  Meet at the Bird Sanctuary about 3:00, take a drive through the park to look for buffalo and elk, and then we'll have a picnic in the woods.  Grills are available but you must bring charcoal.  Also bring your own meat, silverware and dishes and a dish to share with all.  If you plan on attending, please let Eunice Halverson know at 636-825-9554 or Eunice_Halverson@att.net.

November Sociables

Sociables next event in November is a 50's party at the Kugler's in Collinsville, IL. Start getting your 50's outfit together and plan to bring a 50's type dish to pass (we weren't eating whole grains and tofu!). We've already rolled up the rugs (we have a new puppy!) so dancing along with a trivia game and a few 50's songs will be in order. Plan to come – we'll have FUN! November 17th, 3rd Saturday at 6:00 pm. Let Carol know, please.

Coming Up: Concert by St. Mark's Choirs

St. Mark's Chancel and Bell Choirs will present a concert titled Marvelous Messages from the Bible and Movies on Sunday, October 28 at 6:00 pm.  Admission is free. A good will offering will be taken.

Please plan to come and bring your friends. See choir members for complimentary tickets to hand out. Wine and cheese event to follow the concert.  In order to save proceeds from the concert for the music program and Gateway 180 Homelessness Reversed, we would appreciate donations of wine and/or cheese beginning anytime until the concert. Hand to any choir member. Thanks!!
