Please join Adult Ed this Sunday for a study of Luke 7:36-50, the story of the Woman with the Alabaster Flask of Ointment. We continue to look at Luke from a Middle Eastern perspective with Dr. Kenneth Bailey. There will be a video and discussion led by Darin Sorrell.
Dr. Bailey talks about 2 kinds of oral transmission of the biblical stories - formal and informal,; he looks at the literary elements of the story and then delves into the meaning of this scene around issues of hospitality.
Come learn something new and deepen your faith in Jesus, whom we follow!
This passage will take up 2 Sundays at least - 1/20 and 1/27.
