FEBRUARY SOCIABLES
Save the date -- a fun "speak easy" dinner mystery theatre will be held at the Halverson's on Saturday, February 20 beginning at 6:00. Someone has been murdered, can you help figure out who? Come promptly at 6:00 pm so you don’t miss any clues. More information on the theme and foods to bring will come later. Everyone 5th grade and older is welcome to attend. Please contact the Kugler's or the Halverson's to reserve your spot.

FROM YOUR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION DIRECTOR
In light of the recent disaster in Haiti and in preparation for Souper Bowl Sunday (where we collect cash and cans for the needy) we will have youth collecting money at the end of the service on January 24th, 31st and February 7th. The money will be donated directly to Lutheran World Relief's Haiti Earthquake fund. Please see the Christian Education Director Halle for more details.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF ALL SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN
Starting last Sunday and ending February 13th, Halle will be conducting home visits with each family to talk about Sunday School and this year’s upcoming VBS. Visits will last approximately half an hour and be scheduled at any time during the week. A sign-up sheet will be available inside the main Sunday school room.

CHANCEL CHOIR
Come join the Chancel Choir! In addition to our regular anthems, we will be learning the second half of the Mozart Requiem for presentation on Palm Sunday.

LADIES, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Plan now to attend the 10th Annual Women’s Day of Renewal, Friday evening, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 2010 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL. This year’s theme is “Encouraged in Heart, United in Love”. The keynote speaker is Dr. Mary Hilgendorf, Professor of Education and Ambassador for the Women’s Leadership Institute at Concordia University in Wisconsin. See Phyllis for information and registration forms if you are interested.
