Guatemalan Fair Trade Craft Sale – February 7th and 14th

Dylan C. (often attends with the Bleeke’s) will conduct a sale of Guatemalan Fair Trade Crafts in the fellowship hall following Worship on February 7th and 14th to raise funds for a mission trip he is taking with Lutheran Campus Ministries over Spring Break (March 5th thru March 14th). They will work with Constru Casa (an organization similar to Habitat For Humanity) to build three homes under the supervision of local masons. However, in order to build these three homes, they must raise money for the materials needed. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to build the houses in a village outside of Antigua. All profits from the sales of the crafts will go toward funding the housing materials. Plus, because the crafts were made by workers who received fair wages, the sale serves the people of Guatamala in two ways.

Items for sale will include scarves, earrings, and headbands. The crafts are beautiful, fair trade certified, and made by hand. Your support of this project is appreciated.
